Mark Woerpel

Mark Woerpel Music is a new venture by a musician who has been a familiar face at the Anderson Center for more than a decade. After touring internationally as a rock guitarist in his own bands and with Rickey Medlocke’s Blackfoot, Mark and his wife settled down near Red Wing in 2003. A master carpenter as well as an award-winning songwriter, Mark was part of the Rivertown Construction crew who renovated the Tower View Barn in 2012. Mark has been teaching music lessons in Red Wing since 2007. Now located in Shed Studio 1 on the northside of the Tower View Campus, Mark Woerpel Music offers music production and artist development services, along with in-person and online music education. Mark also maintains an active performance and recording career. He serves as a staff writer and studio musician for Twin Cities publishing and licensing firm In the Groove Music, co-founded by Brian Reidinger—a drummer and songwriter Mark has performed and recorded with in several bands. Mark performs regularly with “feel good arena rock” band Them Pesky Kids, whose schedule includes annual New Year’s Eve concerts at Treasure Island Resort & Casino.
