My clay vessels are inspired by growth patterns in bones and shells and how those patterns relate to the fluidity of water. As I throw, sculpt and fire I emphasize aspects not in my control, such as cracks that form as clay is stretched along a curve or the movement of glaze in the heat of the kiln.
